Seasoned executives to lead sales and finance functions, respectively, and help bring the most promising oral health innovations to market.
PITTSBURGH — FEB. 27, 2024 — OraBio, the company discovering, developing, and commercializing the latest in oral health innovations to improve patient outcomes, announced today that it has hired Tim Garwood as Vice-President of Sales and Ian Magazine as Vice President of Finance. The two seasoned executives add considerable strength to OraBio’s leadership team and will help the company accelerate growth.
“We continue to identify dental innovations across the periodontal health continuum that will improve patient outcomes,” said John Boresi, CEO of OraBio. “With Tim and Ian on board, we are strengthening our commercialization capabilities and ability to scale the business to meet our growth expectations.”
Garwood joins OraBio from Henry Schein, Inc. (a Fortune 500 company), where he worked for eight years as Senior Director of North American Sales for Henry Schein Brands. He was responsible for the external sales team that drove growth for the company’s portfolio of its own brands. In his 30-year career, he also held sales and marketing leadership roles with Milestone Scientific, Interleukin Genetics and Johnson & Johnson. Garwood earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.
Magazine comes to OraBio from Pittsburgh-based Airviz,Inc. He has more than 35 years of executive-level finance experience for organizations for early phase and high growth biotech and technology companies like Dots and Bridges, Western Oncolytics, PNA Innovations, 360fly, Powercast, 4DK Technologies, Cyren Call Communications and Nextel Communications. He also has served on several corporate advisory boards, including Vivasc Therapeutics, Humotech and CleanRobotics. Magazine holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Binghamton University and an MBA studies in finance from Pace University.
